Fixing clips for both round and rectangular ducting should be spaced at 750mm intervals.

Ventilation ducting does come under a harmonized EU standard so is not required to have CE/UKCA marking.

The ducting is manufactured from a uPVC whilst the fittings are manufactured from HIPS.

To go from Thermal Ducting to PVC, when using 204x60mm and 220x90mm ducting, insert the PVC duct into the Thermal at least 250mm. When using 125mm, use a VKC355 connector to connect both the 125mm PVC Pipe and the 125mm Thermal Pipe.

The fire collars themselves cannot be installed over the Rapid Self-Seal Thermal ducting itself. The reason for this is that the fire collars are not large enough to fit over the Rapid Self-Seal Thermal Ducting and secondly the fire collars have not been tested on the Rapid Self-Seal Thermal ducting. If a Fire Collar is needed when installing the Rapid Self-Seal Thermal Ducting you need to transition from the Rapid Self-Seal Thermal ducting to the standard rigid plastic ducting, install the Fire Collar around the standard rigid plastic ducting and then transition back to the Rapid Self-Seal Thermal.

We do not currently offer a warranty for our Verplas ducting products as they have no moving breakable parts. The ducting is made from PVCu (Rigid Pvc) and this material has medium to high impact strength and good UV resistance. Our ducting fittings and accessories are made from quality assured High Impact Polystyrene or Polypropylene. These plastic materials of construction have been specially selected to provide long life and durability and therefore we would expect the plastic ducting installation to far outlive the useful life of the prime movers, such as fans and heat recovery units within any domestic or light commercial ventilation system so long as the ducting was installed and supported correctly in the first instance.

Our Universal Pipe Clip is simple to install, please watch our simple 4 step guide on how to install it.
