Ventilation Products

The Verplas range comprises of modular ducting systems in both flat duct and round pipe. There are several sizes designed for cooker hoods and fans of varying airflow rates.

Rectangular systems

System 225 and System 300 are designed around extra slim ducts, made to be fitted in spaces with little depth such as within a ceiling void or within walls or floor spaces. System 150 has the largest cross section of all our rectangular ducts and is the perfect choice for cooker hoods with high extraction rates. System 204 is the ideal choice for most cooker hoods. Its large cross section makes it an efficient solution even with long duct runs. System 125 is designed to be installed with cooker hoods with a medium capacity and the width of the duct will allow it to be fitted above wall units with a wide cornice or little depth. The standard System 100 was designed when cooker hoods were of relatively low power, but is still suitable for rates up to around 250 cu m/h and is used for passive air movement and for 4” domestic extractor fans.

Round systems

Verplas has three round systems in 100mm, 125mm and 150mm diameters. Round pipes have the most effective airflow performance and should be considered as the first option, if space will allow. The smallest pipes are suitable for extractor fans and low powered hoods while the larger ducts are for the higher powered cooker hoods which can have extraction rates of over 800 cu m/h.

Practical ducting kits

We have a number of standard ducting kits for use with cooker hoods, tumble dryers or fans, but kits can be made to include a selection of any of our products to meet almost any domestic ventilation requirement.

Notes: The dimensions for space requirements are only a guideline to allow for the wall thickness of the externally fitting components. To accurately calculate the efficiency of a system we can supply pressure loss figures for all our components, together with advice as to how to use them.

Hoses

We manufacture and supply flexible PVC and flexible, semi rigid and insulated aluminium hoses using unique technology for maximum quality and efficiency. We can supply in many diameters and lengths. All the Verplas systems include a wide range of connectors, bends and adaptors which allow the installer to build almost any configuration. In addition we have a wide range of alternative colour and design choices for the outside wall terminal. We have also recently introduced a range of FireWraps and FireCuffs in all the popular duct sizes which are used to prevent the spread of fire from one room to another.

Choosing the right system

The choice of ducting system will depend on a number of factors including: the power of the cooker hood or fan to be connected to, its location, the configuration of the duct run, the space available and others.
