FireWrap
When ventilation ducting is installed so that it enters or exits a fire compartment in a house, apartment or multi-storey building, it may be necessary to meet Document B of the Building Regulations to ensure that any fire is contained in one area. Verplas has a range of products suitable for this purpose.
Fire Stop for Partition Wall Penetrations (Round & Rectangular Ducting)
These latest Fire Stop products are designed specifically for partition walls and achieve a 2hr Fire Rating (unless otherwise stated) under the most stringent test conditions of BS EN 1366-3 : 2009. These FireWrap products combined with the Verplas Galvanised Sleeves exceed the 2hr test for 132mm walls & achieved a minimum 1hr rating for a 208mm wall using the Telescopic Fire Stop Kit. An alternative for partition walls up to 132mm wide are the FireCuff range which have been tested to a 2 hr rating under BS EN 1366-3: 2009. Also available is the Three Sided FireCuff kit for installation of ducting against the underside of floor slabs.
Fire Stop for Masonry Walls & Masonry or Concrete Floors
The Verplas FireWrap and FireCuff range has been tested and achieved a 2 hr rating to BS 476 Part 20 for use in masonry walls and masonry or concrete floors.
Acoustic Intumescent Mastic
The Acoustic Intumescent Mastic is a 5 hour rated one part emulsion acrylic based intumescent acoustic sealant giving a firm but flexible seal to joins in a variety of fire related structures. The Acoustic Intumescent Mastic comes in a 310ml cartridge and the part code is: INT01.
